Customer service at Indian Rubber begins with in-house design engineering. The teamwork begins with receipt of an inquiry about the manufacture of a rubber product. Indian Rubber design specialists work with customers in formulating a manufacturing program. Often they suggest alterations in design that will meet customer needs but result in more economical production costs.

Indian Rubber has experience with a variety of elastomeric compounds, from common to exotic: synthetic natural rubber, neoprene, Viton, AFLAS, ethylene propylene, nitrile, silicone, butadiene, styrene butadiene, butyl, chlorosulfonated polyethylene, epichlorohydrin, fluoroelastomers and more.

An existing compound with the correct blend of materials can usually be found to meet performance requirements. However, customized compounds are sometimes necessary. Indian Rubber can assist in developing a compound that that will offer qualities such as resistance to gas, oil, heat, abrasion, tearing, corrosion, electrical current or weather.

Quality Assurance Inspection and Testing

Indian Rubber adheres to its own high standards of manufacturing and to ASTM requirements for testing. Rubber compounds undergo a combination of tests to assure high quality and performance our customers have come to expect.

This includes tests to check tensile strength, elongation, hardness and have the access to lab equipment to test tear resistance, specific gravity, compression set, electricity resistivity, abrasion resistance, high/low temperature resistance, heat aging, immersion testing and cure cycle testing.

During the manufacturing process, Indian Rubber builds in specific inspection steps, depending on the product, application and the production technique employed. These checks include: visual inspection for defects, hardness testing, and adhesive bond testing.

In addition, customers often have specific tests and inspections they require during the manufacturing operation. Indian Rubber will perform these tests and inspections to exacting customer specifications to assure top quality.
